For the first time in the company’s history, Konrad Rump Oberflächentechnik debuts on the small screen. Channel N24 is selected for the task. N24 is Germany’s most successful news channel. With up-to-the-minute political, economic and social reporting, N24 sets the standard for news broadcasting.
The meeting of small and medium-sized businesses at Konrad Rump Oberflächentechnik GmbH & Co. KG attracted large numbers of visitors and industry enthusiasts from all over the region. Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schäfer, Vice President for Research and Young Researchers at the University of Paderborn, picked a few examples to illustrate just how mutually beneficial collaboration between industry and universities can be. He advised the company to make enquiries about the possibility of accessing grants through the association. 14 January 2009 was an auspicious date, marking the 70th birthday of a man distinguished by his great activities, honorary status and versatility deployed for the benefit of the inhabitants of his home city Salzkotten, as well as membership of many committees in the Paderborn district. The man? Former mayor of Salzkotten, Konrad Rump. “Konrad Rump without Salzkotten, Salzkotten without ‘Konni’?” Hard to imagine! The name of the former local politician and successful entrepreneur is simply too closely intertwined with the city of Salzkotten.
Commissioning of the new production hall in Salzkotten
“The new 1,000 square metre production hall gives us plenty of space for our current staff and also for new employees”, said Ms Rump-Adriano at the opening. With the new hall, there is now an overall surface of 4,000 square metres dedicated to production activities.
